Customer feedback
We guarantee that all our feedback is genuine and can only be submitted by people who have booked through our websites.
Michael McLachlan, December 2010: Most enjoyable. My only quibble being that the very warm weather at the time did make the room a little stuffy.
The site manager was most courteous and, although obviously very busy, extremely helpful.
I highly recommend the Merifield Annex and would happily stay again.
Ruthy Watson, September 2010: It was a good location and easy to find. The onsite manager was very pleasant.
David Carter-Hitchin, September 2010: I had a very pleasant stay for a fortnight and the staff looked after me very well.
Lisa Denney, September 2010: Fantastic accommodation. By far the nicest university rooms I've stayed in anywhere in the UK. The free wireless internet and included breakfast are nice touches. Only downside is that your experience depends somewhat on who you share the flat with. The first 2 days of my stay were great, the third day, there was clearly someone with lower levels of hygiene! Still, for the cost I think it's worth it - and maybe just mention on check in that you'd like a quiet room or something. If you were making a group booking for the whole flat, then it would be ideal.
Stephen Ma, September 2010: Great service absoluately valuable for money
Scott Morrison, September 2010: Sometimes not enough cereal or coffee left out for breakfast. However, the manager was otherwise excellent and attentive, and the accommodations convenient and excellent value
Gellis Tatiana, September 2010: Very good, thank You!
Miss Karen Disney, September 2010: Staff very helpful and obliging
Many thanks to them
Kyle Wedgwood, September 2010: Very friendly manager! Thanks for a great stay
Oleg Lukin, September 2010: Thank you so much for very great accommodation! I would be happy to book a room at Merifield Annex in future.
Beh YI YUE, September 2010: Room was clean, bright and tidy.
Thank you for the enjoyable stay.
Debra Douglas, August 2010: For the price it was well worth it. Clean pleasant room. Same for the kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Miss karen Disney, August 2010: I have experienced various accommodation throughout Oxford and I would say that overall the standard is good. However, this is dependent on ones flatmates, because if they are thoughtless regarding the fire doors - letting them crash during the night - the standard of washing up and cooking - and the use of the showers and loos - if one is lucky and has good flatmates, the stay is pleasant, otherwise, it can be a nightmare.
To date, good.
Thanks
Karen
Raymond Curnow, August 2010: Very pleased with accommodation, very good value for the price. Perhaps a little more choice for breakfast?
vince mee, August 2010: I now stay regularly at Merifield annrx. It is always clean & tidy with friendly, helpful staff. Cable internet connection always works well. Extremely good value for money.
Laura Morosanu, August 2010: This college offer by far the greatest university accommodation I've seen so far, and, to be honest, it's much better than many hotels in Britain/Ireland which were considerably more expensive. No bad surprises, all was really clean, internet free, towels provided, huge kitchen with cooking facilities. All in all, very nice experience! I would definitely recommend it!
Hisham Muhra, July 2010: Good, clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation.
Emma Hayde, July 2010: Very good exoerience
David Strudwick, July 2010: Many thanks for looking after me during my short stay. You have very pleasant rooms and the other guests and students were very helpful. (I do like the self-catering, continental option...plenty of breakfast...have what you like...very good!) Would love to come again soon...many thanks.
Dave Strudwick.
Sarah Jackman, July 2010: Lovely nice, clean rooms, bathroom and kitchen with towels and sheets provided. Breakfast basic but just what I wanted and all in the flat. Couldn't pick up a wireless signal but didn't enquire as wasn't there enough to use, so may just have been my settings. A good distance from the centre, 30 min walk or buses every few mins, and a good range of shops, pub and restaurants around the corner. Would definately stay again. Thanks
Phil Mann, July 2010: Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise as I had thought it was just a room. The room and facilities themselves were excellent as well.
I would suggest extending "check-out" time to 11 though which seems more in line with Hotel standard practice
Ivan Avila de Oliveira, July 2010: Merifield Annex was one of the best places I stayed over the years. Located in a quiet place it should be tried by anyone looking for a restful time in Oxford City.
Helei Fu, July 2010: I had a good stay at Merifield Annex. The only regret is that there is no direct bus from the rail station to the accommodation. I had to walk a long way to get on a bus in the city center and the bus driver could not tell where I should get off (I think you can take bus #7 and get off at Someset Shops stop). Anyway, this is a quiet and safe place. I believe I will choose to stay here again if I come to Oxford.
Brian Moore, July 2010: A very pleasant stay. Only a very picky person would list faults.
John Swinbank, July 2010: Unfortunately, the wireless network didn't work well. Otherwise, price and location were excellent, and the other facilities available perfectly reasonable. Friendly welcome!
