UniversityRooms, which started trading in March 2007, is designed to enable the colleges of Oxford and Cambridge generate revenue from the Bed and Breakfast market during the vacations, when students are asked to clear their rooms. This is designed as a supplement to conference business, the main source of college revenue during the vacation periods.
Initially only selling rooms for one college in Oxford, we added the Cambridge bed and breakfast service in August 2007. Over the next few years we hope to slowly add more colleges and (possibly) universities to broaden the service for our customers. We are committed to both a long-term relationship with our colleges and the long-term success of this service.
